She brings the quality, and skillsets she’s acquired from Producing and Managing branded commercials with budgets over 2 million to her independent Directing and Writing projects. Her character driven films have received critical acclaim and international awards.
15 years of acting experience fueled Genevieve’s investment in complex character narratives. The question always is, who is this for and who will this resonate with? What are the quirks and daily conflicts these characters face? What makes them unique, raw and beautiful? Genevieve studied performance art at the University of Exeter, one of the most competitive drama programs in the UK. In 2014, she made her theatrical directorial debut, with a modern dance-based adaptation of “Spring Awakening: the musical.” The performance earned her the award of “Best New Director” from the “Directors Guild of Great Britian.” She received her Master's Degree in Film Directing at The MET Film school at Ealing Studios in London.
Genevieve's love for the outdoors eventually inspired her to transition into the film industry. Not only was she raised at a Garden Center which her parents owned, but she is also an avid hiker, backpacker and skier who values the benefits of getting outside. Genevieve’s commercial Producing career gives her access to incredibly talented film crew technicians. She often employs a small but mighty crew for her independent work, allowing a mobile filming style which gives performers more freedom of movement. She loves filming on location and planning her shoots around the weather and natural light.
