Once Upon a Choice

by Liane Brandon

A humorous, original fairy tale dealing with sex-role stereotypes.

Once Upon A Choice is a humorous, original fairy tale in which an unconventional princess faces the conventional dilemma of deciding which prince to marry.  She is expected to choose between three princes: Prince Premium of Upper Fiduciary, Prince Gauntlet of Skirmish-on-Avon and Prince Rapport of Upper Begonia.

In striking contrast to the passive princesses of traditional fairy tales, Princess Frances decides instead to explore the world outside her kingdom.  Her unexpected decision raises contemporay questions about choices, sex-role stereotypes and parental expectations.

quote...a bright colorful film which uses a formal structure to emphasize a bold and simple variation on a fairy tale theme. The princess decides her own fate in a style which will be entertaining to young and old alike.
